DOGGIE COSTUME CONTEST DETAILS

There will be three categories of competitors: small dogs (less than 20lbs), medium dogs (20lbs – 50lbs) and large dogs (more than 50lbs). There are only 10 spots available in each category, so register early!

All registrations must be submitted in full by Wednesday, October 25h to be eligible.

$5 registration fee per dog.

Registered dogs and their handlers will receive an information package via email on Thursday, October 26th detailing arrival times and their place in the contest line-up at Civic Square.

Judging Criteria: The dogs will be judged on their costumes and behaviour for creativity, humour, character, charisma, and uniqueness. The judges’ decisions are final. This contest is designed to be a fun and family-friendly event!

CONTEST RULES

• All dogs must be leashed and licensed, and remain with their handlers throughout the contest.
• No puppies under the age of 6 months or without vaccinations.
• All vaccinations and licensing must be current.
• Dogs must wear ID tags at all times.
• Dogs must be spayed or neutered to participate.
• Aggressive dogs, or dogs showing signs of aggression, are not permitted.
• Handlers must pick up after their dogs.
• All costumes must be safe and comfortable for the dogs.
